Flame Arrester
Flame arrester is a safety device used to prevent the spread of flames from flammable gases and flammable liquid vapors. A device that is generally installed in pipelines transporting flammable gases or on ventilated tanks to prevent the spread of flames (deflagration or detonation) from passing through.
Flame arresters are also commonly used on pipelines transporting flammable gases. If flammable gases are ignited, the gas flame will spread throughout the entire pipeline network. To prevent such danger from occurring, flame arresters should also be used. Flame arresters can also be used on pipelines with open flame equipment to prevent backfire accidents. -
Working Principle
One of the necessary conditions for combustion is to reach a certain temperature, which is the ignition point. Below the ignition point, the combustion will stop. According to this principle, as long as the temperature of the burning substance is lowered below its ignition point, the spread of flames can be prevented. When the flame passes through many small channels of the flame retardant element, it will turn into several small flames. When designing the flame retardant components inside the flame arrester, try to expand the contact area between the small flame and the channel wall as much as possible, enhance heat transfer, and lower the flame temperature below the ignition point, thereby preventing flame spread.

General Selection Principles
1)The selected flame arrester should have a safe flame blocking speed greater than the flame propagation speed that may be achieved at the installation location.
2)When there are no other anti backfire facilities, a flame arrester should be installed in the combustible gas delivery pipeline connected to the burner.
3) To prevent flames propagating at subsonic speeds, flame arresters should be used, and their installation location should be close to the fire source;Furson has obtained ATEX production quality assurance notification and type test certification for flame arresters. All core components are self-produced, and the production and assembly of flame arresters are strictly assembled and tested in accordance with relevant standards.
