Pressure & Vacuum Relief Valve(Breather Valve)
A breather valve refers to a type of valve that ensures that the storage tank space is isolated from the atmosphere within a certain pressure range, and can also communicate with the atmosphere when the pressure exceeds or falls below this range. Its function is to prevent the storage tank from being damaged due to overpressure or vacuum, while reducing the evaporation loss of the stored liquid. Setting up a breathing valve can reduce gas emissions out from the tank, thereby reducing pollution to the atmosphere, but also prevent damage to the storage tank caused by overpressure or instability caused by vacuum, which has a certain promoting effect on safety and environmental protection.

Working Principle
The breathing valve mainly consists of a valve body,a valve seat, a valve cover, and two sets of opening and closing devices controlled by vacuum and pressure. The opening and closing device includes valve disc, guide rod, spring, spring seat, and sealing ring. When the pressure inside the tank reaches the rated positive pressure for exhalation, the pressure valve disc opens and the vapor inside the tank is discharged; When the vacuum degree inside the tank reaches the rated suction negative pressure, the vacuum valve disc opens and air enters.

General Selection Principles
Furson's breathing valve has excellent performance, including the opening and closing pressure difference of the breathing valve, which meets and far exceeds the leakage rate control of API2000, and the full opening flow release after 10% overpressure. We have all passed the witness testing of SGS organization and obtained corresponding reports for these performance parameters.
Our 9620 P/V Valve ( with end-of-line deflagration flame arrester)has also obtained ATEX type test certification,currently widely used in storage tanks with low leakage requirements, this structural type of breathing valve has undergone type tests for fire resistance performance and also has good leakage rate control. Compared with previous structures, it is lighter in weight and easier to maintain and upkeep.
